Topography & Cut/Fill
To Achieve:
- Creating a Topography in Revit from the available CAD inputs
- Grading
- Schedule and quantities takeoff
Step 1: Link the 3D points CAD file in to Revit
Step 2: Accrue the Co-ordinate from the CAD file to Revit
Step 3: Link the Footing Layout File to Revit with Shared Co-ordinates
Step 4: Under the Massing& Site > Topography > Select the 3D CAD Points
Step 5: Now, you created a topography
step 6: Under Massing&Site > Modify Site tab > Select Split Surface
Select the area in which your excavation area is required.
Step 7: Once the Topography is splited into as required area Grading process to be done
Step 8: Under Massing&Site > Modify Site tab > Select Graded Region
Choose the splited Topography and Make your excavation
By Modifying and Placing the Elevation part you're able to make the excavated area
Step 9 : Once the Excavated area points are defined, Goto View Tab > Choose Schedule/Quantities
Under the Category List > Topography
Choose the Fields which are required for Quantity takeoff
Cut, Fill, Net cut/Fill
Finally we achieved the Excavation model and Quantity takeoff...
